Magnet Curriculum Resources

Bellaire World Language Magnet Program serves students who live outside the school’s attendance zone. Our magnet students have a strong interest in studying languages and commit to taking 5 on-campus credits in World Languages.

All language classes follow HISD LOTE curriculum.  Please use this link to check the LOTE curriculum. 

Magnet Requirements:

  • Students will study a combination of 2 World Languages, one major language and one minor language.

  • Students must reach Level 4 of their major language.

  • Students must complete 5 world language on-campus credits.

  • Students will enroll in their major language for 3-4 years (either level 1-4 or level 2-5), plus a minimum of 1 year of minor language. Major and minor languages cannot be changed after selections are made.

  • Spanish cannot be selected as a major language. French & Spanish combination is not permitted. 

  • Students must maintain a 75 or higher average in all classes.

  • Exemplary conduct and attendance.
