All Students Riding HISD Buses:
Students who are attending their zoned schools of attendance and who reside three or more miles (as measured along the shortest route that may be traveled on public roads) from their assigned campuses are eligible for transportation services at district-designated stops.
Bus Transportation must be requested by July 28th.
All Students Riding HISD Buses:
Students attending their zoned campuses who live two or more miles away (as measured along the shortest route via public roads) are eligible for transportation services from district-designated stops. Magnet students will be assigned a bus stop within three miles of their home address.
HISD will send out a transportation survey to all parents in June. Please be on the lookout for this email and complete the survey for each of your children to ensure they are considered for school transportation. Campuses will no longer be able to submit transportation requests on behalf of families.

At the beginning of the year students can ride their bus without a pass with no issues. Once bus passes have been issued students will need to present them to the driver to ride the bus.
